Hanover Timberline Kitchen

Location: Hanover, NH

Scope: Custom Kitchen Cabinetry

Style: Transitional

Construction: Inset cabinetry

Finish: Painted & Clear Cherry

Designed for a dramatic post-and-beam great room, the Hanover Timberline Kitchen blends transitional cabinetry with the warmth and scale of exposed timber construction. The architecture of the space—defined by engineered beams, soaring ceilings, and open sightlines—called for cabinetry that felt refined yet substantial enough to complement the structure.

The kitchen pairs painted cabinetry with warm cherry accents, creating a balanced palette that feels both timeless and contemporary. Custom wood grilles add texture and craftsmanship to the upper cabinetry, while carefully selected tile, stone, and hardware details introduce subtle layers of material contrast throughout the space.

THREE expansive islands anchor the room, providing generous work surfaces and gathering space while maintaining clear circulation within the open floor plan. Their scale allows the kitchen to function as both a practical workspace and the natural social center of the home.

The result is a kitchen that bridges traditional craftsmanship and modern living—where detailed millwork, natural materials, and architectural scale come together to create a space that feels welcoming, durable, and distinctly tailored to the home.
