Set within the Quechee Lakes golf community in Vermont, this summer retreat was designed as a refined yet expressive second home, a place to entertain, unwind, and gather after long days on the course. Hitchcock Woodworking provided the custom millwork throughout the residence, varying tone and material from room to room while maintaining architectural continuity across the property.
From the two-story cathedral great room, where we fabricated custom miter-folded white oak trusses, to the turned solid wood newel posts and custom baseboard installed throughout the home, this project reflects a fully integrated millwork approach. Every built-in, trim profile, and architectural millwork detail was crafted by our team as part of a cohesive system, ensuring each element feels original to the structure.
Throughout the home, we produced cabinetry that shifts in character and material: a bold green dressing room with island, his-and-hers vanities in soft blue with a dedicated makeup desk, walnut reeded doors, oak-stained vanities and office cabinetry, and a rec room featuring brass inlay accents. We also built the walnut dry bar framed in high-gloss painted paneling and lined a custom wood box in aged copper, reinforcing the balance between resort living and precision craftsmanship.
